Yes, the headline does indeed say “Audio Bulbs” because that is exactly what these are. GiiNii International‘s wireless speakers are designed to be twisted into any light socket or lamp and do what speakers do from there. When plugged into the light socket all you need to do is pair the speakers with the following base station and within minutes (if not seconds) you have sound coming out of your lamps. Pretty cool if you – like myself – think it is quite a challenge to find a speakerset that doesn’t hurt your eyes every time you look at them. It’s just a shame they haven’t put as much effort into the design of the base station as the concept of Audio Bulbs itself.
You get two Audio Bulbs and a base station for $300, but the base station can control up to 8 different Audio Bulbs. Additional bulbs can be purchased for $100 a piece.
